THE WORLD CLASS DIFFERENCE

College counseling, not consulting. We utilize professional counseling techniques to get to know your student on a deeply personal level. By pairing who they authentically are with our extensive network of admissions leaders and high school expertise, we help them craft a compelling narrative that stands out to best-fit colleges.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between a college counselor and a college consultant?

Unlike generic consultants who rely on assembly-line checklists, my approach is rooted in my professional counseling background. I focus on deeply understanding your child’s unique personality, values, and motivations to build an authentic, stress-free, and highly competitive application strategy.

2. When is the best time to hire a private college admissions counselor?

While we start working with families at any point in high school, starting in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade is ideal. Early planning allows us to strategically optimize academic profiles, develop meaningful extracurricular leadership, and craft a compelling narrative well before deadlines.

3. How does private college counseling help my child stand out?

We pair deep personal insights about your student with insider knowledge of university admissions. By uncovering leadership qualities and unique life experiences your child might overlook, we translate their authentic background into a compelling, high-impact application profile.

4. Do you help students applying to Ivy League and highly selective universities?

Yes. We have a strong track record of placing students at elite institutions, including Princeton, Brown, UPenn, Northwestern, and international powerhouses like Cambridge. We help students bypass generic essay tropes to present unforgettable narratives at any selectivity level.

5. How do we get started with World Class College Counseling?

You can fill out our website inquiry form or contact us directly by email at rebecca@worldclasscollegecounseling.com or by phone at (215) 326-9869. We respond within one business day to discuss your student's goals, answer your questions, and determine the best counseling roadmap for your family.
